At the beginning of the year I was sick with pneoumonia for almost 6 weeks so I took a break from working out. I am the kind of person who is all or nothing workout wise. I either do nothing or workout basically everyday. Being quarantined has been good for me in the fact that it has forced me to start working out again. I now have the time and it really helps with my anxiety.
I decided to start back up running because I find it most effective exercise for me. It really makes me break a sweat and I like getting outdoors. I am a slow runner but I am trying to build up to 5 miles. Right now I do intervals to get to 4 miles. I love to put on my headphones and listening to a good podcast. It is like the only time I get to myself these days and I treasure it.
A few of my favorite podcasts are: The Skinny Confidential, Goop, Bitch Bible, Heather McMahan, Armchair Expert, Unfuck Your Brain, Bad on Paper, Oprah Super Soul Conversations, Sakara Life, Sibling Revelry, Breaking Beauty and Be there in 5, A drink with James.
I also recently got an Apple Watch and I loved tracking my steps and calories. It has definitely made me workout more to close all my rings! I wanted to share some of my favorite workout gear below!
Nike Airmax 270– these are my current running shoes. I have an older color but love them.
Shorts – I love the Lululemon Hot Hot shorts in 4 inches so they aren’t too short.
AirPods – I finally splurged and got these and LOVE them.
Sport Watch Band– only $7 I have a few colors.
Leggings- these are a great amazon find. Under $30 and killer fit.
Energy Bra– this was the most recommended sports bra and I see why it is awesome.
Boyfriend Tee– I have this in several colors. Great basic tee, also cute with jeans.
