I always like a New Year to start fresh goals especially health and wellness goals. I turn 40 in March and I am still a little in denial about it. But I have a goal to be healthy and be in the best shape I can. I hired a trainer last year who has been wonderful, he pushes me hard and inspires me. Last week we did a weigh in and a BMI measurement. While I am in the normal range for it all we have a few goals to tone and lose 5-8 pounds. I truly never weigh myself because it is just a number but I judge it by how my clothes fit and my jeans are a little snug.
A few personal goals I have set:
3 30 minute sessions with my trainer a week
Get back into running. I took a break because I was burned out but I need for my mental health as much as physical.
Possibly do a race, nothing crazy but maybe like a 5k
Drink more water
Focus on portion control, I eat fairly healthy but sometimes I eat too much
During the week I am really trying to eliminate processed foods and sugars. On the weekend I like to indulge it is all about balance.
